4D & 5D Modeling
4D and 5D modeling for construction projects combines the virtual model of the project with the project cost and schedule information and allows visualization and analysis of the planned versus actual sequencing and status for a project.
The 4D modeling process (also referred to as 4D scheduling) combines to the virtual 3D model with the schedule to enable a simulated look at the construction sequencing of the model. 5D modeling adds the project cost to facilitate project cost estimate and cost management during the construction phase.
